Beef Broth
1 cup (240ml)
Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon (15ml)
Rice Vinegar
1 teaspoon (5ml)
Bacon
4 slices (60g), cooked crispy and crumbled
Cucumber
1/2 medium (100g), julienned into matchsticks
Bamboo Shoots
1/4 cup (60ml) canned, drained
Green Onions
2 stalks, thinly sliced
Ice Cubes
4 cubes
Ramen Noodles
1 package (85g) - discard seasoning packet

Instructions

  1. Prepare the broth: In a small pot, combine beef broth, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat and cool completely. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until cold.
  2. Cook the ramen noodles according to package directions. After cooking, immediately rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process and cool the noodles. Drain thoroughly.
  3. Prepare toppings: Thinly slice the cucumber into matchsticks. Drain the bamboo shoots. Thinly slice the green onions. Cook the bacon until crispy, then drain on paper towels and crumble into pieces.
  4. Assembly: Place the cold noodles in a bowl. Add a few ice cubes to keep everything chilled.
  5. Pour the cold beef broth mixture over the noodles and ice cubes.
  6. Arrange the cucumber matchsticks, crispy bacon pieces, bamboo shoots, and green onions on top of the noodles in separate sections.
  7. Serve immediately while cold and refreshing.
