Chicken Broth
1 cup (240ml)
Soy Sauce
3 tablespoons (45ml)
Minced Garlic
1 teaspoon (5g)
Bacon
3 slices - substitute for roast pork
Imitation Crab
2 ounces (57g) surimi, sliced
Scallions
2 stalks (green onions), chopped
Seaweed Snacks
1 package (0.35oz) roasted seaweed, torn into pieces
Bamboo Shoots
1/4 cup (60ml) canned, drained
Spinach
1 cup (30g) fresh leaves
Ramen Noodles
1 package (85g) - discard seasoning packet

Instructions

  1. In a small pan, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel to drain excess grease.
  2. In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  3. Add the chicken broth and soy sauce to create a savory soy-based broth.
  4. Add minced garlic and simmer for 3 minutes to develop flavor.
  5. In a separate pot, cook the ramen noodles according to package directions, then drain well.
  6. Blanch the spinach in boiling water for 30 seconds, then drain and squeeze out excess water.
  7. Place cooked noodles in a bowl and ladle the hot broth over them.
  8. Arrange the toppings on the noodles: crispy bacon slices (as substitute for roast pork), sliced fish cake, drained canned bamboo shoots, blanched spinach, and torn seaweed snacks.
  9. Garnish with chopped scallions.
  10. Serve immediately while hot.
